The Alberta Supports Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking social-based programs and services, assessing their needs and directing them to appropriate resources. If so, this position will be of interest to you The Ministry of Assisted Living and Social Services is focused on service excellence within social-based programming and service delivery in Alberta An Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) model has been created for Albertans to be able to access information and support for social -based programs and services via the Alberta Supports Contact Centre The focus of the ISD model is to ensure consistent information and levels of services are delivered to clients regardless of the service delivery channel used As an Alberta Supports Coordinator, you will champion this ISD model by working at the Alberta Supports Contact Centre The Alberta Supports Coordinator is the first point of contact for Albertans accessing social-based programs and services In this position, you will assess Albertans with varying circumstances and needs and determine the social-based programs and services suitable for them To be successful in this role you will require excellent assessment, time management, communication and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to make sound decisions under short timelines Must have strong computer skills and being proficient in Microsoft 365 is essential Your ability to provide service excellence and de-escalate sensitive situations is also a requirement of this role Skills Two-year Diploma or Degree in a related field; no experience required; or equivalent as described below Proficiency with keyboarding and computer systems (Microsoft 365) is required Ability to provide service excellence and de-escalate sensitive situations Excellent assessment, time management, communication and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to make sound decisions under short timelines 1 year of related experience working with diverse populations, providing customer service excellence, assessing their needs and providing service direction is considered an asset Experience with web-based computer systems (e.g. Compass, TOI, CCIS) is considered an asset Experience with social based programs Contact Centre experience is considered an asset Experience in arranging supports for vulnerable individuals Benefits Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP) Alberta Public Service Benefit Information Professional learning and development Positive workplace culture and work-life balance Leadership and mentorship programs Company Overview The Lieutenant Governor is the Queen's representative in Alberta.
