[Remote] AMI / MDM Business Analyst

They are currently seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Meter Data Management (MDM) systems to join Veracity Consulting's team in a remote capacity. The role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, serving as a liaison between business units and technical teams, and supporting the implementation of MDM solutions. Responsibilities • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements related to AMI and MDM systems. • Serve as a liaison between utility business units and technical teams to ensure clear understanding of AMI/MDM-related needs and expectations. • Support implementation and enhancement of MDM solutions (e.g., Oracle MDM, Itron, EnergyIP). • Analyze meter data and perform data validation, estimation, and editing (VEE) process support. • Facilitate integration of AMI systems with other utility platforms (e.g., CIS, OMS, GIS, SCADA). • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution, and issue resolution. • Evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements to increase automation, accuracy, and value. • Develop reports and dashboards to track key metrics such as meter read performance, data quality, and event anomalies. • Ensure data compliance with regulatory and industry standards. • Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and status reporting. Skills • Experience working with MDM platforms such as Oracle Utilities MDM, Itron, or Siemens EnergyIP. • Strong understanding of AMI network components, data flows, and integration touchpoints. • Familiarity with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, or Power BI). • Proven experience translating complex technical concepts into clear business requirements. • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. • Experience in utility billing, outage management, or asset management systems. • Knowledge of industry standards like CIM (Common Information Model) and IEC protocols. • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid SDLC methodologies. • Regular and predictable attendance Company Overview • Welcome to Jobs via Dice, the go-to destination for discovering the tech jobs you want.
