[Remote] Audit Manager - Affordable Housing Specialist (Remote)

CyberCoders is seeking a proactive and highly skilled Audit Manager specializing in Affordable Housing to deliver exceptional audit and advisory services to clients. In this fully remote role, the Audit Manager will manage all facets of audit engagements, identify opportunities to add value, and build strong relationships with client governance teams. Responsibilities • Direct and manage all phases of the audit lifecycle, including detailed planning, documentation review, and presenting audit results and internal control recommendations to client governance • Apply deep working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, Uniform Guidance, GAGAS, and HUD rules to all client engagements, ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance • Serve as a strategic partner to clients, actively seeking to understand their business and culture to define problems, propose solutions, and identify ways to deliver added value beyond the core audit • Lead, manage, and mentor audit staff, contributing to their professional growth and ensuring team performance meets established expectations • Engage in business development and networking activities, utilizing excellent presentation and communication skills to strengthen the firm's market position • Plan, organize, and control multiple engagements and resources simultaneously to meet objectives and strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment Skills • Minimum of 5 years of audit experience in a public accounting firm, with a specific focus on Affordable Housing audits • An Active CPA license is required • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university • Applied working knowledge of all relevant U.S. accounting standards (GAAP, GAAS, Uniform Guidance, GAGAS, and HUD rules) • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite • Ability to travel locally within the Washington, D.C. Metro area up to 20% of the time, occasionally involving meetings outside standard business hours • Ability to exercise sound judgment, identify issues independently, and create effective solutions • Maintain confidentiality, exhibit dependability, and adhere to the highest standards of integrity • Possess excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking and meeting challenging deadlines • Familiarity with specific engagement software like ProSystem FX is a plus Company Overview • CyberCoders is a recruiting firm locating job positions across all industries, including finance, education, engineering and healthcare.
