This vital role assists individuals and families, especially those from linguistically diverse communities—in navigating Medicaid and public health services. Why Join Us? • 100% Remote Work (After Training): Available to candidates in the Eastern Time Zone • Make a Real Difference: Help connect communities to essential healthcare • Bilingual Advantage: Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali, Russian, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, or Arabic highly valued • Career Pathway: Temp-to-perm opportunities with room to grow • Purpose-Driven Culture: Be part of a team that’s creating statewide impact Important Dates & Training Requirements • Training Period: August 18, 2025 – September 12, 2025 (4 weeks) • Training Format: Onsite training (location details provided upon hiring) • Position Start Date: September 15, 2025 • Attendance Requirement: • No absences permitted during training or within the first 90 days of employment Position Overview • Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm • Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone only) after training • Schedule: • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM ET • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET (some Saturdays required) • Typical Shifts: 10:30 AM–7:00 PM, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, 11:30 AM–8:00 PM Key Responsibilities • Answer inbound calls related to Medicaid and managed care services • Provide accurate, empathetic, and bilingual assistance to clients • Process enrollments, disenrollments, and document requests • Conduct remote data entry, document verification, and reporting • Stay current on New York Medicaid CHOICE Program policies and procedures Qualifications Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred) • 1–2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or human services Skills and Traits: • Fluent in English and a second language (preferred) • Strong communication and listening skills • Typing speed of at least 35 WPM • Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Technology Requirements (for remote work): • Operating System: Windows 10 or macOS 10.15+ • Internet: Minimum 25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload • Headset: USB-wired headset with microphone and noise suppression (no Bluetooth) • Environment: Quiet, private workspace (no shared spaces or mobile hotspots) Be the Bridge Your Community Needs At 1st Choice, your bilingual skills and commitment to service can help people access the care they deserve.
