[Remote] Budget Analyst I

They are seeking a Budget Analyst I to provide comprehensive fiscal oversight and support for child welfare contracts and grant-funded services, ensuring accurate financial management and compliance with funding requirements. Responsibilities • Maintain fiscal oversight of child welfare contracts, procurements, and grant-funded services • Monitor expenditures to ensure accuracy, allowability, and compliance with federal and state funding requirements • Support preparation, tracking, and reconciliation of child welfare budgets • Review and process invoices, encumbrances, and financial documentation • Assist with federal and state reporting related to child welfare grants • Coordinate with program teams, budget staff, and county partners to resolve fiscal issues • Ensure fiscal documentation is complete, consistent, and audit-ready • Provide technical assistance and guidance on funding policies, cost allocation, and fiscal procedures Skills • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business administration, public administration, accounting, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Knowledge of federal and state funding requirements, grants management, and compliance standards • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills • Experience in child welfare, human services, or grant administration • Knowledge of state and federal child welfare funding programs • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Company Overview • The N.C.
