About the Role As a Remote Customer Retention Specialist at blithequark, you'll be the primary point of contact for our existing policyholders who are considering cancelling their policies. Your mission will be to understand their concerns, address their needs, and resell the benefits of maintaining their life insurance coverage. This is a part-time, remote opportunity that offers a flexible schedule and the chance to work with a dynamic team. Primary Responsibilities • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls (average 90+ calls per day) with existing policyholders who are seeking to cancel their policies • Listen to customer concerns, empathize with their needs, and provide personalized solutions to retain their business • Resell the benefits of life insurance and explain how our services can support their financial goals • Process cancellation requests and ensure a smooth customer experience • Meet department standards for call volume, average handle time, and time management • Maintain accurate records and ensure data quality Requirements To succeed as a Remote Customer Retention Specialist at blithequark, you'll need: • 1+ year of experience in a high-volume contact center environment, receptionist role, or a similar position that involves frequent phone interactions • 6+ months of experience in retention, sales, or collections (insurance industry experience is a plus but not required) • High School Diploma or equivalent • Reliable internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload) with a hard-wired connection • A smartphone to access our VPN • Basic computer knowledge and skills, including proficiency in bolthires Office • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm • Superior customer service skills, with a friendly and efficient demeanor • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage time effectively • Detail-oriented and organized Preferences While not required, the following skills and experiences will be considered a plus: • Insurance industry experience • Sales experience • Bilingual language skills • Remote work experience What We Offer As a Remote Customer Retention Specialist at blithequark, you'll enjoy: • A competitive hourly rate of $15.89 • Eligibility to earn a prorated commission of up to an additional $6.00/hour based on performance • A flexible, part-time schedule with a set roster (Monday - Friday 10:00am - 2:00pm CST post-training) • Opportunities for career growth and professional development • A dynamic and supportive remote work environment • Comprehensive training program to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed Training and Equipment We'll provide you with comprehensive training to ensure you're equipped to succeed in this role. The initial training will take place in Waco, TX, and will be conducted alongside our full-time employees. You'll be required to work a full-time schedule (8:00am - 5:00pm CST, Monday - Friday) for the first four weeks. After training, you'll be provided with all necessary equipment, except for a smartphone, which you'll need to access our VPN.
