Job Description Data Operations Analyst Salary Range - $70,000 - 75,000 USD per year About This Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Operations Analyst to serve as the backbone of our data ecosystem. This role goes beyond traditional data analysis—you'll manage critical data workflows, coordinate across multiple teams and platforms, and drive continuous improvement in how we collect, validate, and deliver data insights that power business decisions. Core Responsibilities Data Operations Management (30-35%) • Manage intake, validation, and delivery of data on recurring weekly and monthly cycles • Coordinate with external partners and internal teams on data workflows and requirements • Ensure data accuracy and timely submission for reporting and business processes • Track, log, and escalate data issues to appropriate stakeholders • Maintain version control and comprehensive documentation for all reports and processes • Lead efforts to automate reporting processes and eliminate unnecessary manual work Data Analysis & Reporting (25-30%) • Perform statistical analysis and data mining to identify trends, patterns, and insights • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools • Conduct ad hoc analysis to answer specific business questions • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics • Prepare regular and specialized reports for management and stakeholders • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations Business Intelligence & Process Improvement (20-25%) • Translate business requirements into analytical approaches and solutions • Participate in discovery sessions to identify data gaps, errors, and improvement opportunities • Develop recommendations for workflow optimization and automation • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision making • Present findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences • Support forecasting, planning, and strategic initiatives through data analysis Technical Data Management (15-20%) • Develop strong understanding of data architecture across multiple integrated systems • Gather and integrate data from databases, APIs, and external data providers • Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various sources • Clean, validate, and organize raw data to ensure consistency and quality • Maintain data integrity across multiple platforms and environments • Develop and maintain automated data pipelines where possible • Document data processes, methodologies, and technical specifications Required Qualifications Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data operations • Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and complex data structures • Proven track record of managing data workflows and delivering insights that drive business decisions Technical Skills • SQL proficiency for database querying and data manipulation (required) • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and statistical functions • Data visualization experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms • Analytical tools familiarity with R, Python, or similar for analysis and automation • Database knowledge understanding of relational databases and data integration concepts • Documentation skills ability to create clear technical and process documentation Preferred Qualifications • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) • Programming experience in Python or R for data analysis and automation • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) • Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing
