They are seeking a Head of Technology / Technical Lead Principal Engineer to lead their tech strategy, drive innovation, and manage a team of engineers in a fast-paced startup environment. Responsibilities • Lead the development and execution of our technology strategy in alignment with our business objectives • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in our technology stack and development processes • Manage and mentor a team of talented engineers and designers • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate technology seamlessly into our product offerings • Own the full development lifecycle as we move from MVP to scalable platform • Lead hands-on engineering tasks, coding, code reviews, and architecture decisions • Translate product requirements into reliable and optimized builds • Build and refine infrastructure for EdTech, FinTech, and MusicTech integrations • Lead, enhance, develop, and train AI while also collaborating if necessary with AI consultants and product teams on AI-driven features • Spearhead integration of Metaverse, Web3, VR/AR/XR or immersive features where appropriate • Help recruit, lead, and grow the dev team as the platform expands • Proactively solve technical challenges and propose innovative solutions • Move fast, iterate faster — and elevate our execution standards with urgency Skills • Proven experience in interface design platforms, particularly Figma • Demonstrated expertise in pushing applications to app stores (iOS and Android) • Strong background in quality control processes and methodologies • Experience in software integration and API development • Experience with MusicTech, AI, FinTech, Metaverse, EdTech, NFTs, Crypto, and stay updated on future technology or development of new technologies • Proven experience in full-stack development across various tech stacks • Hands-on experience with web design, front-end frameworks, back-end, and mobile responsiveness • Strong AI/ML understanding or experience with integrating AI into platforms • Past experience building or contributing to platforms in MusicTech, EdTech, FinTech, or Metaverse spaces • Comfort with startup environments and flexible, evolving roadmaps • Excellent communication skills — able to clearly articulate ideas and decisions • Availability and willingness to commit time and energy as a core part of a growing startup team • Strong sense of accountability and ownership • Must be capable of software engineering • Experience in technology development • Have the ability to create products of various types such as music courses, music services, music app services, EdTech, FinTech, Ai, and MetaVerse • Use excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills • Possess strong coding skills • Must be a team player; results oriented • Coordination with Tech Team and company executives is critical to success as we will have weekly meetings and we will need you to be available to communicate via email, phone, and video-chat regularly • Must be tenacious and success-oriented, a self-starter with high energy • Strong telephone and collaboration skills required • Passion for the music industry • Experience with platforms serving independent artists or creatives • Familiarity with music distribution APIs, learning management systems, or token-based ecosystems • Interest in building for global communities and creator economies • Past role in a startup from MVP to launch and growth phase Benefits • Equity-only startup (until investor funding secured) • Performance-Based Bonuses • Opportunity to transition into full-time salary role • 4 year vesting & 1 year cliff vesting schedule for equity Company Overview • ZobeLab is the ultimate one-stop-shop music technology application software for the independent music community.
