Remote Legal Assistant (Junior Lawyer – Litigation Support, Fee-Sharing Based) Location: Remote (Worldwide) Job Type: Contract / Project-Based Start: Immediate Experience Level: Junior / Early-Career Lawyer Compensation: Deferred / Fee-Sharing Eligible About the Role We are seeking a junior or early-career lawyer to work in a paralegal-level litigation support role on active U.S. federal and state court matters. This is a paper-only position focused on legal documents, filings, exhibits, transcripts, and procedural preparation. No court appearances, no client intake, and no clerical errands. The role requires high independence. You must be able to read, understand, and manage complex case files with minimal supervision. We will train you on our internal systems and standards, but you must be capable of learning cases on your own. Core Responsibilities (Legal / Paralegal-Level) • Review and independently learn case files • Prepare and organize court exhibits • Draft and format transcripts from audio • Assist with ADA accommodation requests • Assist with fee-waiver / poor-person applications • Prepare procedural forms (state & federal) • Manage digital case records and timelines • Support litigation preparation (non-substantive drafting only) Independence & Professionalism Required This is not a guided internship. You must be able to: • Work independently without daily instruction • Follow written procedures precisely • Maintain strict confidentiality • Sign and comply with an NDA • Handle sensitive legal materials responsibly Legal & Ethical Structure • No unauthorized practice of law • All work is document-based • Clear separation between attorney and paralegal functions • NDA required • Attorney-fee participation or assignment may be available where legally permitted Compensation (Please Read Carefully) At present: • This role begins without a salary • Compensation is deferred and/or fee-sharing based • Attorneys may be assigned cases with fee eligibility • Applicants may request future paid placement as cases progress Please apply only if you are comfortable with this structure.
