[Remote] Math Question Developer

They are seeking a Math Question Developer to code questions into their online system, ensuring a positive student experience and adherence to educational standards. Responsibilities Use our in-house programming language to code questions into our online system where they will be seen online by tens of thousands of students and teachers Be thoughtful about the student experience and proactively alert the project manager about questions that don’t translate well into a digital platform Maintain a consistent approach to answer acceptance while being mindful of how the question will be integrated into the instructors’ curricula Identify potential edge cases in answer acceptance and test for how well the question works Identify the Common Core State Standards that apply to each question Skills Experience with basic computer programming in any language (ideally JavaScript) Familiarity with LaTeX Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field Tutoring or teaching experience in mathematics is a plus Experience with online mathematics homework software is a plus Familiarity with Common Core curriculum and standards Company Overview Derivita operates as a STEM technology platform and a complete computer algebra system.
