About the Role As a Remote Medical Benefits Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the care they need by processing prior authorization requests, verifying insurance coverage, and collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance companies. This is a full-time, remote position with a competitive salary of $17/hr, weekly pay, and benefits. You'll work within an 8-hour shift between 8am-8pm CST, Monday to Friday, and enjoy the flexibility of working from home with equipment provided by our client. Key Responsibilities Submit and track prior authorization requests via inbound and outbound calls, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Verify patients' medical insurance eligibility and coverage, staying up-to-date with changing insurance policies and regulations. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and insurers to ensure compliance and resolve any issues that may arise. Maintain accurate and detailed records of approvals and denials, providing insights that inform future decisions. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must have: At least 1 year of experience in medical benefits, demonstrating a strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance policies. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your application: Call center experience, showcasing your ability to handle high-volume calls and navigate complex customer interactions.
