Remote Mortgage Compliance Analyst About the Role Are you ready to become a vital part of a forward-thinking mortgage team reshaping how compliance is done in the digital age? This fully remote Mortgage Compliance Analyst role isn’t just a job—it’s your chance to safeguard ethical operations while contributing to a collaborative and innovative culture. You’ll work closely with experienced mortgage professionals, digital strategists, and technology specialists to ensure every lending activity complies with federal, state, and investor regulations. It’s compliance reimagined—not boxed in paperwork but infused with modern tools, agile workflows, and an eye toward scalable, secure operations. Our Vision & Culture Creativity isn’t confined to the marketing department. Our company thrives on innovation in every unit, from using compliance software to analyzing regulatory trends. We started as a small, values-driven mortgage service provider with a big idea: deliver integrity-based lending solutions while empowering our remote workforce. Today, we’ve evolved into a mission-led digital lender with a national footprint. Every voice here matters, and we welcome compliance professionals who want to challenge outdated systems and make a measurable impact. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Monitoring & Interpretation • Monitor, interpret, and apply federal and state lending laws and investor guidelines. • Conduct regular reviews of regulatory updates, ensuring proactive changes to internal policies. • Collaborate with legal teams and operations to clarify ambiguous regulations and ensure proper execution. Internal Compliance Audits • Lead or participate in internal audits to assess process integrity and documentation accuracy. • Prepare reports outlining findings, root causes, and suggested improvements. • Partner with loan processing, underwriting, and quality control teams to ensure procedures are followed precisely. Process Improvement • Recommend enhancements to policy workflows and tech tools to boost compliance efficiency. • Document and update SOPs in alignment with evolving compliance requirements • Utilize compliance dashboards and automated alerts to manage workflows efficiently. Reporting & Record-Keeping • Generate compliance reports and maintain meticulous digital records for audit-readiness • Prepare documentation for investor audits and respond to information requests promptly and professionally • Identify and document potential compliance breaches while proposing actionable resolutions Tools & Technology You’ll Use We take tech seriously, and so will you. In this role, you’ll work with: • Regulatory technology (RegTech) platforms for automated monitoring and alerts • Cloud-based mortgage CRM and loan origination systems • Data visualization tools for compliance trend tracking • Internal portals for audit documentation and team collaboration We don’t expect you to know every platform we use, but we expect an eagerness to learn, test, and suggest better tools when you see opportunities. Work Environment 100% Remote & Connected Take advantage of a remote setup that keeps you closely integrated with your team. From daily stand-ups on Zoom to collaborative documentation on shared platforms, you’ll never feel isolated, even when working from your favorite cozy nook at home. Inclusive and Driven We’re a team that celebrates diverse perspectives. Whether you come from a background in law, fintech, or traditional mortgage lending, your unique viewpoint will help shape better compliance outcomes. We believe transparency and trust go hand-in-hand, and we live that belief in every meeting, memo, and milestone. What Success Looks Like You’ll thrive in this role if you: • Have a deep curiosity about regulations and enjoy untangling complex issues • Can communicate compliance matters in a way that inspires, not intimidates • Understand the balance between risk mitigation and operational fluidity • Are highly organized, self-motivated, and thrive in remote-first environments Qualifications Essential Experience & Knowledge • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, legal studies, or a related field • 2+ years of experience in mortgage compliance, underwriting audit, or regulatory operations • Solid grasp of CFPB, RESPA, TILA, ECOA, and other federal regulations • Familiarity with loan origination systems (Encompass, Calyx, or similar) Preferred Attributes • Strong analytical skills with an ability to think creatively and strategically • Exceptional writing skills to communicate nuanced issues in a clear, concise way • Adaptable to change and comfortable in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting Growth Opportunities We don’t hire people to stay in the same role forever. Here, you’ll find multiple paths for advancement: • Progress into a Senior Compliance Analyst or Compliance Manager role • Gain certifications (e.g., CRCM, NMLS) with company-sponsored training • Collaborate with innovation teams on RegTech pilot programs • Contribute to cross-functional leadership projects impacting company-wide decisions Why This Role Matters Mortgage compliance isn’t just a back-office function—it’s a vital layer of trust between us and the families we serve. Your work ensures that our clients receive honest, transparent lending practices and that our organization stays ahead of ever-changing regulations. This is your opportunity to become a beacon of integrity and insight in a business where those traits matter most. Compensation This role offers a competitive annual salary of $72,853 along with a comprehensive benefits package, including: • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Generous PTO and paid holidays • Remote work equipment and technology stipend • Annual learning and development budget Call to Action Ready to shape the future of mortgage compliance from wherever you are? We want to hear from you if you’re driven by purpose, powered by knowledge, and excited by innovation.
