About the Role We're hiring a Remote NOC Technician III to provide advanced technical support and maintenance for our network products and services. This critical role involves working independently with minimal supervision, performing complex diagnostics, creating maintenance requests, and coordinating with our Network Control Center (NCC) and Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to ensure the health and stability of our network infrastructure. As a seasoned NOC Technician, you will be responsible for: Troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues, including those related to DWDM/SONET services Creating, modifying, and configuring DWDM/SONET services (DS3 to 100GIG) to meet customer needs Performing OTDR testing and analyzing results to identify and resolve issues Coordinating with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions Running network scripts and performing other technical tasks as required Providing technical guidance and support to junior staff members Maintaining accurate records and documentation of network activities and issues Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a NOC Technician, preferably in a service provider role Proficiency with SONET/DWDM configurations, including Ciena 6500, Infinera, and Alcatel PSS-32/16 Experience with OTDR testing and analysis Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with a strong focus on problem-solving and critical thinking Flexibility to support after-hours maintenance requests and adapt to changing priorities Preferred qualifications include: Experience with other network technologies and platforms, such as IP/MPLS or Ethernet Knowledge of network architecture and design principles Certifications related to network operations, such as those offered by Ciena, Infinera, or Alcatel What We Offer As a member of our team, you can expect: A competitive salary range of $68,640-$80,000, depending on experience A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage Opportunities for career growth and professional development, including training and certification programs A dynamic and supportive work environment that encourages innovation and collaboration The flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the United States, with a Monday to Thursday schedule (10:30 PM to 8:30 AM CT) Why Join Us?
