[Remote] Patient Access Specialist

They are seeking a Patient Access Specialist to manage incoming calls, referrals, and medical records requests, ensuring patient satisfaction through efficient service. Responsibilities Manage all incoming calls, referrals from emails, and medical records requests to the employer's divisions Accurately document patient requests in Veradigm EHR to communicate with clinical teams Ensure patient satisfaction through prompt and efficient service in a courteous manner Liaise with outside referral source teams and manage referrals received on the employer's universal fax number Perform administrative support and tracking duties as assigned Skills Minimum of 1 year of direct patient interaction/experience in a medical, insurance, or healthcare-related industry Knowledge of orthopedic office procedures and terminology Proficient with phone system capabilities and Microsoft Office 365 products Previous experience working with an EMR system Strong written and verbal communication skills Previous orthopedic practice experience Working knowledge of Veradigm, Ring Central, and Phreesia Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance provided Generous PTO package and paid holidays Opportunities for internal training and development Retirement Plan eligibility after one month of service with profit-sharing options Company Overview At Prism Data Consulting, we transform raw information into strategic insights.
