[Remote] Payroll Tax Analyst Principal

The Principal Payroll Tax Analyst is a leadership role responsible for guiding Senior Payroll Tax Analysts, driving team innovation, and ensuring accurate employee taxation. Responsibilities • Leadership of Senior Payroll Tax Analysts: Serve as the first point-of-contact for Senior Payroll Tax Analysts, guiding them in their roles and responsibilities • Team Leadership: Lead weekly pod lead calls to address team needs timely and provide thorough resolutions, setting a tone of curiosity and forward-thinking • Customer Escalations: Take the lead on customer calls to mitigate escalations, providing top-tier leadership and expertise • Best Practice Presentations: Deliver best practice and customer-specific presentations to clients and internal teams, demonstrating advanced knowledge and leadership • Proactive Communication: Respond to the team and customers promptly, even when not readily available, and pull in other leaders to assist when necessary • Innovation and Strategy: Drive innovative solutions, align with business strategy, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement, embodying an open-minded approach and avoiding a "that's what we've always done" mentality • Knowledge Sharing: Actively share knowledge and expertise with seniors and the team to ensure we are scaling effectively • The principal payroll tax analyst may also have their own customers, for whom they will also be responsible for the key responsibilities listed under the payroll tax analyst role Skills • 7+ years of experience in payroll tax, human resources, or payroll administration in a large, high-volume, multi-state environment • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred • FPC or CPP certification required • Demonstrated extensive leadership and mentoring abilities • Proficiency in auditing techniques and advanced payroll compliance knowledge • Bachelor's degree preferred Benefits • Excellent time away from work programs • Comprehensive wellness initiatives • Recognition through competitive pay and benefits • Volunteer days • Dayforce Cares Company Overview • Dayforce makes work life better.
