We partner with districts seeking remote PT services, and this posting allows us to identify qualified candidates ready for placement as opportunities arise. Virtual physical therapy positions typically involve 35-37.5 hours weekly, serving caseloads of 40-50 students across various grade levels. You'll provide essential services helping students develop gross motor skills, mobility, strength, endurance, and physical abilities necessary for educational participation and functional independence. Position Responsibilities Physical therapists conduct comprehensive evaluations assessing students' gross motor development, strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, gait patterns, and functional mobility in educational environments. Based on evaluation findings, you'll develop measurable IEP goals and deliver therapeutic interventions through teletherapy platforms. Your services may include exercises to improve strength and flexibility, activities to develop balance and coordination, gait training, positioning recommendations, and adaptive equipment assessment. Consultation with educational teams is integral to your roleyou'll provide recommendations for classroom accommodations, playground modifications, physical education adaptations, and positioning during academic activities. You'll collaborate with occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and special education teachers to ensure comprehensive support for students with physical disabilities. Communication with families includes educating them about their child's physical therapy needs and providing home exercise programs. Documentation responsibilities include maintaining thorough progress notes, writing evaluation reports, completing quarterly summaries, and participating in IEP meetings. You'll need to manage scheduling, track student progress toward goals, and ensure compliance with special education timelines and regulations. Required Qualifications Candidates must hold an active Nevada physical therapy license and possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree or Master's degree in Physical Therapy. Two years of school-based or pediatric PT experience is required. You should demonstrate knowledge of childhood development, special education processes, assistive technology, and adaptive equipment options. Strong technology skills are essential for teletherapy delivery including proficiency with video platforms, digital documentation systems, and apps used for therapeutic activities. Technical Requirements Your home office must include reliable high-speed internet, webcam, microphone, and confidential space for conducting therapy sessions.
