[Remote] Private Cloud DevOps Engineer Senior/Lead

As a Senior/Lead IT DevOps Engineer on the Private Cloud Platform, you will focus on Terraform-based automation and Red Hat technologies to design and implement private cloud solutions while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. Responsibilities • Drive modernization and scalability across the enterprise cloud platform • Focus on Terraform-based automation, Red Hat technologies, and OpenStack architecture • Design and implement private cloud solutions leveraging OpenStack and Red Hat platforms • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform for automated deployments • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate private cloud with hybrid and multi-cloud strategies • Assist in ensuring compliance, security, and operational excellence in cloud environments Skills • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, Math) and minimum of four years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions • In lieu of degree, minimum of six years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions • Experience in Terraform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and OpenStack • Possess a background in cloud architecture, automation, and performance optimization • Experience with CI/CD tool chains, such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions • Scripting and general software development experience using Python • Understanding of security concepts related to cloud (firewall, proxy, key management, IAM, certificate management); ability to lead strategic initiatives and mentor technical teams Benefits • 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar company match up to 6% • Medical, dental & vision, including free preventative care • Wellness & mental health programs • Health care flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, & life insurance • Paid time off, including volunteer time off • Paid & unpaid sick leave where applicable, as well as short & long-term disability • Parental & family leave; military leave & pay • Diverse, inclusive & welcoming culture with Employee Resource Groups • Career development & tuition assistance • Onsite gym & healthcare at large locations Company Overview • Established in 1985 as a low voltage cabling contractor, Progressive Technologies has grown from a mid-south company to a nationwide provider offering solutions to commercial and industrial users of low voltage systems.
