Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SmartBuild Systems is the industry leader in design software for post frame and metal structures. The SmartBuild Sales Representative is responsible for demonstrating the software platform, managing sales activities, and supporting customers through the evaluation and purchasing process. Responsibilities Demonstrate the SmartBuild software to prospective customers through scheduled online presentations, highlighting features, workflows, and value specific to post‑frame construction Manage and qualify all incoming sales leads; documents all outreach, follow‑up, and engagement activity in HubSpot CRM Conduct proactive outreach to warm leads, dormant accounts, and targeted prospects to support pipeline growth Utilize SmartBuild experience to answer general product questions and guide customers through early‑stage evaluation Properly evaluate situations as they arise and immediately handle quick-hit implementation/support issues during the call, rather than escalating them. Hand off any more technical or complex support inquiries to the dedicated Support Team as necessary Apply construction knowledge—particularly post‑frame building experience—to accurately interpret customer needs and align SmartBuild capabilities with their workflow Support the sales process by preparing quotes, coordinating next steps, and ensuring timely follow‑up Build upon or work towards improving relationships with existing customers. This is where knowledge of the industry will be essential to relate Recognize additional tasks that need to be done and be willing to help where additional resources are needed. Including but not limited to: HubSpot cleanup, Software testing, Implementation support Participate in daily internal stand‑up meetings to align with Sales, Support, and Implementation teams Attend occasional trade shows, customer site visits, or industry events to represent SmartBuild and support lead generation Maintain a professional, courteous, and consultative sales approach; avoid overselling or misrepresenting product capabilities to ensure long‑term customer success Other duties as assigned Skills 1–3 years of experience using SmartBuild in an office or sales environment (required) Experience demonstrating software or technology solutions to customers Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot for tracking leads, tasks, and communication 1–3 years of sales, customer service, or construction‑related experience Post‑frame construction knowledge is required; broader building or construction experience is a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow‑up Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple leads and tasks simultaneously Ability to maintain customer confidentiality and represent SmartBuild with professionalism and integrity Occasional travel required for trade shows, customer visits, or team events Prior SmartBuild implementation experience is strongly preferred Kind, courteous, and consultative sales manner; not an aggressive or high‑pressure sales style Ability to present SmartBuild honestly and accurately, avoiding overselling or misrepresenting features Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to understand customer workflows Coachable, team‑oriented, and comfortable collaborating across Sales, Support, and Implementation teams Proficiency in general computer skills and willingness to learn new systems and tools Benefits Medical/dental/prescription coverage Life Insurance Paid holidays Paid vacation Paid sick time 401K Opportunity ESOP Retirement Program which makes you an owner of the company Company Overview SmartBuild Systems is a software development company that creates design systems for pole barn and metal buildings, roofing, and reroofing.
