[Remote] Senior Mobile Application Developer

NorthBay is looking for a highly experienced Senior Mobile Application Developer with strong expertise in both native and cross-platform mobile development. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, collaborating closely with UI/UX designers and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities • Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms • Develop native mobile applications using Swift, Kotlin, and Java, as well as cross-platform solutions using React Native and Flutter • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to deliver intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing mobile experiences • Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services • Implement security best practices to ensure data protection, authentication, and secure communication • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness across devices and platforms • Manage local data storage using SQLite, Realm, or similar database solutions • Use Git-based version control to manage source code, branching, and releases • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure high coding standards and best practices • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across different environments • Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver high-quality features on schedule Skills • 6 to 8+ years of professional experience in mobile application development • Strong proficiency in Swift, Kotlin, and Java for native mobile development • Hands-on experience with cross-platform frameworks such as React Native and Flutter • Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and mobile usability standards • Experience with mobile database management using SQLite, Realm, or similar tools • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and mobile-backend integration • Proficiency in Git and modern version control workflows • Experience implementing mobile security best practices, including secure storage and API communication • Proven ability to optimize mobile applications for performance and reliability • Strong understanding of Agile development processes • Experience publishing applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store • Familiarity with push notifications, deep linking, and third-party SDK integrations • Experience with automated testing and mobile debugging tools • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for mobile application delivery • Knowledge of cloud-based backend services and integrations Benefits • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
