Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Amazon is a leading technology company that is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join its Finance Transformation team. This role involves designing and developing integrated systems using AI and AWS to enhance financial data management and automate workflows, while collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities • You will utilize GenAI-assisted software development on a daily basis that integrates with artificial intelligence tools like Amazon Q Developer into builder workflows to generate & optimize code, build tests, explain unfamiliar code, and learn new languages or APIs, effectively boosting your team’s productivity and code quality • Throughout the software development lifecycle, you will deploy AI tools, agents, use Model Context Protocol (MCP) and large language models (LLMs) to assist in multiple phases - from requirements analysis to coding and testing • In this position you will collaborate with scientists, product leaders, platform builders and finance leaders to create best-in-class AI/ML model training environments, diving very deep into ML frameworks, challenge core assumptions and successfully execute in high pace • As a Software Development Engineer, you will work with a team of talented engineers to build low-latency solutions for frontend, middle tier and backend as well as identify and evaluate new technology options for the challenges we are trying to solve • You will work with a variety of core languages, microservices, and technologies including Java, Javascript, Python, Dynamo DB, Lambda, SQS, SNS and many other AWS services • We are looking for a smart engineer who can effectively deal with ambiguity and work independently to clarify requirements, build prototypes and deliver results quickly Skills • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience • Experience programming with at least one software programming language • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field Benefits • A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits Company Overview • Amazon is a tech firm with a focus on e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence.
