The intern will have the opportunity to develop key features for TikTok Search, optimizing user experience and performance on mobile platforms. Responsibilities Design and implement the user features related to search business Collaborate with design and product teams to create a world-class mobile experience Optimize search performance on mobile platforms Promote robust and maintainable code, clear documentation, and deliver high quality work on a tight schedule Skills Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during the Summer of 2026 Proficiency in at least one of these programming languages: Objective-C, Swift or Kotlin, Java Strong communication and excellent teamwork skills Ability to think critically and to formulate solutions to problems in a clear and concise way Graduating December 2026 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship Ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases Passion about techniques and solving challenging problems Benefits Day one access to health insurance Life insurance Wellbeing benefits 10 paid holidays per year Paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year) Housing allowance Company Overview TikTok is a short-form video entertainment app and social network platform.
