[Remote] Sr. Underwriter OR Underwriting Manager - Commercial Surety - West Region
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Skyward Specialty Insurance is seeking a Senior Underwriter OR Underwriting Manager to manage surety risks in the Western US. The role involves developing new business, maintaining agency relationships, and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines. Responsibilities • Develop and underwrite new business, ensuring the company's interests are protected • Service and maintain existing agency relationships within your territory • Review underwriting for new and existing accounts, establishing terms and conditions within your authority limits • Refer accounts beyond your authority to higher levels within the field or home office with recommended actions • Keep account and bond files updated as per underwriting guidelines • Ensure all terms and conditions are met before releasing bonds • Negotiate terms and conditions in line with market requirements within the submission timeframe • Provide superior customer service, setting us apart from competitors • Attend agency marketing and industry events, requiring some overnight travel.
