Job Summary The Research Assistant will support laboratory operations and assist ongoing health and biotechnology research projects in Dubai. This position requires maintaining lab equipment, performing molecular biology experiments, ensuring safety compliance, and contributing to scientific data collection and analysis for medical and biotech advancements. Responsibilities • Maintain and Operate Laboratory Equipment• Ensure all laboratory instruments and equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and operated according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee accurate and reliable results.• Ensure Regulatory and Safety Compliance• Adhere strictly to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), relevant biosafety protocols, and ethical research standards to maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment.• Support Research Projects• Actively assist in clinical and biomedical research initiatives, particularly in the fields of genetics, immunology, and microbiology, by providing technical expertise and laboratory support.• Collaborate with Research Teams• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including medical practitioners, scientists, and senior researchers, to facilitate the smooth execution of research activities and ensure project goals are met.• Stay Current with Scientific Developments• Continuously update knowledge of the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in biotechnology, biomedical research, molecular biology, and medical diagnostics.• Conduct Advanced Laboratory Procedures• Perform complex laboratory techniques such as Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Reverse Transcription PCR (RT-PCR), Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), Western blotting, flow cytometry, and various cell culture methods with precision and accuracy.• Contribute to Product Development• Provide technical support for the development, optimization, and validation of diagnostic assays, vaccines, or biopharmaceutical products to advance healthcare solutions.• Analyze and Interpret Research Data• Collect, process, and interpret experimental data, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of research findings related to health sciences and medical biotechnology through research writing.• Prepare Scientific Documentation• Compile and prepare detailed scientific reports, data collection method, research manuscripts, and presentations for internal reviews, publications, or presentations at scientific meetings and conferences. Qualifications • Education: Master’s degree MSc in Biotechnology, Medical Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.• Experience: 0-1 year of experience in a medical/biotechnology laboratory (internships or research projects preferred).• Skills: Proficiency in molecular biology, immunology, and biotechnological techniques.• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and diagnostic tools.• Strong data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to document and report research findings accurately.• Knowledge of biosafety regulations and ethical research practices.• Good communication and teamwork skills.• Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
