Job Summary The Revenue Cycle Informaticist is a critical role that oversees the implementation, training, evaluation, optimization, and maintenance of all assigned revenue cycle initiatives for CommonSpirit Health. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise to create a high-performing revenue cycle, support strategic plans, goals, and objectives, and apply leadership and governance to EMR system optimization requests and system upgrades. Key Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise encompassing end-to-end functions of Revenue Cycle Implement and support strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the CommonSpirit Health revenue cycle that promote leading practices Apply leadership and governance to EMR system optimization requests process and system upgrades Work directly with CommonSpirit IT, clinical, and non-clinical stakeholders on Revenue Cycle systems and workflows issues/requests/enhancements Influence and support the revision to standardized policies and procedures and institute changes to streamline operations, improve consumer experience, and enhance revenue, while remaining compliant with applicable regulations Collaborate with IT to evaluate system upgrades and work with partners to effectively determine the impact of new functionality on workflow from the upgrade Facilitate Revenue Cycle improvement strategies toward best practice based on industry benchmarks and system capability Improve team performance by chairing user groups, providing feedback, and assisting in obstacle avoidance Utilize and make data-backed decisions to define improvement opportunities Report progress and evaluate results on an ongoing basis Collaborate with stakeholders and vendor partners to generate ideas, document strategies, and make recommendations for change Actively participate in the planning for vendor implementations and system enhancements Lead cross-vendor revenue cycle collaborations to include account research, root cause analysis, identifying process deficiencies, and establishing recommendations for future optimizations Applied Knowledge The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of revenue cycle best practices and system capabilities to refine, improve market performance, and consumer experience. They will stay up-to-date with industry best practices to bring insight and fresh perspective to CommonSpirit Health's approach to revenue cycle. Skills and Competencies Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication and relationship development skills Strategic thinker and insightful decision maker with the ability to analyze and solve problems Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to direct changes to existing routines or practices to meet changing organizational needs Expert ability to connect, document, and share operational and technical requirements, workflows, and concepts with all levels/types of stakeholders Capable meeting facilitator, both in-person and virtually Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, or healthcare At least 5 years of directly related healthcare financial experience with a minimum of 3 years of revenue cycle management or support in a hospital setting EHR technical build/administrative or operational experience in Epic with certifications as applicable; other EHR experience considered Experience with root cause analysis techniques and lean processes Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At CommonSpirit Health, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
