Risk Consultant for financial institutions

Job Description & Summary We are looking for a new junior colleague to join our team located in Brno for the position of Consultant (full-time) for our Risk Management and Modelling team. Our team conducts projects for leading Czech and international financial institutions (primarily banks), providing consultancy in the area of qualitative and quantitative risk management. We support our clients in the methodological areas, underwriting, regulatory practices, ESG and development of risk tools and models. Our typical projects are transformation of risk management functions, due diligence as well as assistance with a bank’s in-depth regulatory audit or regulatory inspection. What will your job responsibilities be: • Assessment of financial (credit risk, market risk) and non-financial risks (operational risk) that affect the capital and liquidity situation of the bank. • Client’s data analysis and visualization. • Participation in meetings with clients and collaboration with bank employees from various positions and levels. • Study of banking regulation and evaluation of possible impacts on specific financial institutions. • Internal work including client proposal preparation or internal tools development. And much more! Each of our projects is unique. We deliver projects primarily abroad (e.g. USA, Germany, Netherlands) but some also in the Czech Republic. Hence, we can guarantee that your work will not be repetitive. What we expect from you: • You are a university graduate in an economic field (preferably with a focus on finance/banking, mathematics or econometrics). • You have communicative knowledge of English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of the German language is considered a great benefit. • You are an experienced user of MS Office, particularly MS Excel. • You are familiar with data work and are eager to develop in this area (basic knowledge of SQL, R, or Python is an advantage). • You are reliable, flexible and you have no problem with traveling for work from time to time (most of our work is done remotely; however, occasional travel is possible). • If you have experience in the banking sector or are familiar with financial products offered by banks, it will be an advantage.
