Robotics Automation Engineer
The ideal candidate will create a prototype with limitedresources, and also able to make alterations to that prototype. Someone who can program and engineer just about anything, a robotic automated dog for example that can be built from scraps. Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Automation Engineer to join our innovative manufacturing team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robotic systems to optimize production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, automation, and mechanical systems, with experience in manufacturing environments. Duties • Develop and program robotic systems using Fanuc and other robot programming tools to enhance manufacturing efficiency. • Design and troubleshoot automation solutions utilizing programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems, and vision inspection systems. • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for system integration and maintenance. • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within robotic and automation processes, implementing effective corrective actions. • Collaborate with mechanical engineers on tooling design, machining processes, and system integration using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. • Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing workflows and reducing waste through automation improvements. • Perform system testing, calibration, and validation in compliance with CGMP standards where applicable. • Maintain detailed documentation of automation systems, schematics, and process modifications for compliance and future reference. Requirements • Proven experience with Fanuc robotics, robot programming, and automation system integration. • Strong mechanical knowledge including tooling, machining, schematic reading, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical troubleshooting. • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, vision inspection systems, and other design tools. • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and CGMP standards is preferred. • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS). • Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively within complex manufacturing environments. • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or related field is preferred.
