Safety & Compliance Director
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Director to oversee and ensure adherence to regulatory standards within our organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance across all operational areas, particularly in areas related to quality assurance, residents, visitors and employee safety. This position offers an opportunity to lead compliance initiatives, support the clinical and care team, and uphold the highest quality assurance standards in a dynamic organization focused on innovation and excellence in quality patient centered care. Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs aligned with industry regulations such as ADA and evaluate community risk • Perform risk management functions and identify areas of program improvement • Produce investigations and risk mangement documents • Monitor community processes and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. • Oversee documentation related to incident management and safety to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. • Conduct quarterly program audits and assessments of processes, procedures, and documentation to identify areas for improvement. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including nursing, quality assurance, and human resources to ensure compliance throughout program objectives and initiaives. • Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance policies, regulatory updates, and best practices. • Manage responses to regulatory inquiries or inspections and prepare necessary documentation for audits. Stay current with program regulations and industry standards to proactively adapt organizational policies. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Management or related field • Proven experience in compliance management in healthcare or related field • Strong knowledge of state regulations, clinical nursing processes, and quality assurance protocols. • Experience with research activities, investigations, and regulatory documentation. • Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously. • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. • Effective communication skills for training staff and liaising with regulatory agencies. • Demonstrated ability to lead compliance initiatives in a changing environment while maintaining high standards of integrity and accuracy.
