Securities Operations Representative

About the position Responsibilities • Participate in low complexity lifecycle support tasks and help identify opportunities for process improvements within Securities Operations • Review basic or tactical issues, policies or procedures related to low risk tasks and deliverables • Receive direction from manager and exercise judgment within defined parameters related to resolving situations • Provide information to, collaborate, and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues • Build expertise in operational processes including client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, and securities settlement services • Assist in gathering data to support resolution of issues; review and analyze functional operational tasks • Resolve low complexity escalated issues within the scope of responsibility in Security Operations • Research low complexity business risks, provide input into policies, and enhance customer satisfaction • Support overall effectiveness of the team according to plans; monitor daily securities and cash related production work • Contribute to implementation of projects, new or revised processes, and procedures that require coordination among operation teams Requirements • 6+ months of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education Nice-to-haves • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills • Ability to work independently and creatively while exercising sound judgment • Solid problem solving skills • Ability to assess current processes and make recommendations for efficiency • Quality control review experience • Experience creating and executing test scripts • Good data analytical and validation skills • Ability to perform quality assurance audits • Experience resolving and working through escalated and complex issues • Knowledge of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations • Exposure to United States and foreign tax processes • BETA and SmartStation experience Apply tot his job
