A Security Analyst has experience in the concepts, terms, processes, policy and implementation of information security. Must have experience and knowledge of the latest security measures at all stages of an information system life cycle. Must have the ability to solve complex problems involving a wide variety of information systems. Must be able to understand and differentiate between critical and non critical systems and networks. The candidate must reside within the continental US. Responsibilities: • Work effectively in a fast-paced remote work environment by to solve complex problems involving a wide variety of information systems • Ability to understand and differentiate between critical and non critical systems and networks and consult on best practices on both types of systems • Provide gap analyses on a variety of different systems including those hosted in/using AWS/Azure Cloud technologies • Create and maintain network topologies, data and system architectural diagrams, information security requirements • Ability to advise on NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST SP800-53x info security control catalogue and NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), FedRAMP • Identify security risks through the security impact analysis, system risk assessments and technology security risk reports and work with technical experts to find a resolution • Analyze security evaluation tools results from Tenable Nessus, and other security scan tools • Create secure configuration guidelines and perform security compliant evaluations on various IT product types: Operating Systems, Network Devices, Databases, Cloud Applications, etc. • Organize, develop, and present security briefings, written summaries, and reports incorporating narrative, tabular and/or graphic elements on security assessments relating to computer and network security technologies and tools Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering, or a related field • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with security processes and documentation, or other similar work • Remote experience with a track record of success • Reliable, with a keen sense of priorities and deadlines • Experience and knowledge of the latest security measures at all stages of an information system life cycle • Experience in the concepts, terms, processes, policy and implementation of information security • Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST SP800-53x security control catalogue and NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF) • Familiar with network topologies, data and system architectural diagrams, information security requirements • AWS/Azure Cloud technologies would be a plus • Gap analyses Additional Qualifications: • Experience with the Department of Veteran Affairs, tools, processes, and frameworks is a plus • Team player who is comfortable interacting with both technical and non-technical minded people • Excellent writing and presentation skills • Superior attention to detail • Ability to obtain a Government clearance Benefits: • Medical/Dental/Vision • 401k with Matching • Corporate Laptop • PTO + Federal Holidays • Training opportunities • Remote opportunity Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.
