Senior Analyst, Productivity Tools

JOB SUMMARY Functions as the most senior analyst for a complex array of data points and models for Technology Workplace Products. An ideal candidate will exhibit strong communications skills, be self-motivated, adaptable, and dependable. This individual will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines to support analytics, automation, and executive reporting. They will contribute to resolving complex issues and providing input for decisions on more complex, non-routine service requests with limited to moderate risk. This role will be called upon to make contributions into research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of data architecture to meet current and future user and security requirements. This individual will collaborate on multiple projects to ensure successful completion. Required Education & Experience: • Undergraduate degree in information technology or data analytics or a computer science discipline and/or equivalent experience/certification • 7+ years’ experience in information technology process and/or project management across diverse areas (applications, infrastructure) and technologies including: • ETL Design & Development • 5+ years of experience designing and maintaining pipelines using scripting languages • Experience with scheduling, observability, and auditability of pipelines (run logs, retries, alerting) • Ability to design scalable batch/stream ingestion across APIs, billing systems, and telemetry logs • Automation & Scripting • 5+ years of experience automating data ingestion from platforms such as Windows 365, AVD, Intune, ServiceNow, and others • Experience orchestrating automated refreshes and compliance monitoring at scale • Azure Data Engineering • 3+ years of experience working with Azure SQL Server, including schema design, indexing strategy, and query optimization • 3+ years of experience integrating data from Microsoft Graph API, SharePoint API, Azure Cost Management API, and Log Analytics • Familiarity with data lineage, acceptance criteria, and audit-ready architectures • Power BI Enablement • Adept at supporting business-critical Power BI dashboards • Data Governance & Optimization • Familiarity with best practices in data governance, including field typing, null handling, and performance tuning • Experience with performance optimization and cost efficiency in cloud data pipelines • Strong documentation habits, version control (Git), and repeatable development workflows • 2+ years’ experience in Agile delivery, user-centered design, design thinking • 2+ years’ experience integrating emerging technology business using both on-premises and cloud infrastructure preferably in a large, global business Other Attributes and Preferred Qualifications/Experience: • Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across competing priorities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical work to both executives and stakeholders • Strong background in end-to-end data pipeline ownership, from discovery and ingestion to modeling and delivery • Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple technical streams, and deliver results • Passion for automation, system integration, and scalable cloud data engineering • Experience with compliance-driven analytics and audit reporting • Demonstrated ability to perform independently as a member of a team and through cross functional initiatives. • Experience in researching emerging technologies and trends, implementation and security standards, and products • Ability to interact with Information Security teams and recommend best practices for security within all data products. Core Work Activities • Leads the evaluation, investigation, and testing of new data and analytics technologies in partnership with cross-functional teams. • Acts as a technical subject matter expert for enterprise data platforms, analytics solutions, and data products. • Contributes expertise to identify, assess, and report on emerging risks to data quality, privacy, and integrity across data platforms. • Coordinates and reports on data incidents (e.g., quality, privacy, lineage, or availability) as required and recommends mitigation and remediation actions. • Provides input to the overall data architecture and operating governance model for enterprise data platforms and analytics services. • Supports analysis of the current data environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends improvements across pipelines, models, and reporting layers. • Consults with project teams to determine when data services, models, or pipelines should be adapted to meet evolving analytical and reporting needs. • Actively partners with security, privacy, and compliance leadership to ensure data platforms and products align with applicable regulations and standards. • Develops and executes delivery plans in close coordination with technical and non-technical stakeholders to meet timelines and roadmaps for data products and analytics services. • Provides engineering oversight, governance, and tactical direction for data pipelines, models, and analytics deliverables. • Provides input to the overall data platform architecture and operational governance model for data products and related services. • Educates internal and external stakeholders on data literacy, analytical methods, and best practices to elevate organizational capability. • Participates in the evaluation and selection of data platforms, analytics tools, and services aligned to business outcomes. • Leads peer design reviews and design-thinking sessions related to data products, analytics models, and reporting solutions. • Provides support for security and governance programs—including strategy, policy, integration, and standards—within the data and analytics domain. • Participates in incident response activities related to data platforms and analytics services, as needed.
