DescriptionThe Senior Application Architect designs and develops IT applications and architects solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Senior Application Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.This role will be part of the Medical Records Management system, an enterprise system for requesting, receiving, storing and usage of medical records within Humana, which receives 115M records a year. You will have the opportunity to lead ongoing projects, working with other Architects and Developers across many Humana systems and partner with our business support partners on creating requirements to advance the systems. You will be responsible for the architecture and implementation of projects for multiple products within Medical Records Management which includes working with each of the scrum teams to ensure your designs are being followed and providing technical advice. As we look to migrate and modernize our products to a cloud platform, you will be able to play a role in defining cloud architecture, mentoring team members on cloud technology and working with our enterprise groups to implement proper security and standards.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.7 or more years experience as a senior developer in large IT projects working with C#, .NET3 or more years working experience with the following technologies used include (but not limited to) .NET, .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, Terraform, Web API, ReactJs and BlazorPrior project architect and/or team lead experienceMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiencesPreferred QualificationsAzure Cloud Certification and/or experienceAdditional InformationHumana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters.
