Senior Cloud Application Architect

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and innovative solutions across a range of technologies, including Java, Salesforce, C++, NodeJS, NestJS, Angular, Spring Boot, ServiceNow, AWS, microservices architecture, DevOps, CI/CD, databases, and containerization. Asa Solution Architect, you will be responsible for not only delivering end-to-end solutions but also ensuring that the solutions adhere to both industry standards, and the specific standards followed by the agency or organization. You will verify that the solution approach is applicable, relevant, and aligned with business needs while working effectively with vendors and collaborating across cross-functional workstreams to drive success.KeyResponsibilities:Architecture Design& Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, andhigh-performance applications and systems using Java, C++, NodeJS, and SpringBoot. Focus on designing microservices-based architectures to enableflexibility, scalability, and ease of maintenance, ensuring solutions meettechnical and business requirements.SolutionVerification & Standards Compliance: Ensure that the proposed solution approach is verified against industrystandards, best practices, and the specific standards followed by the agency ororganization. Review design decisions, technical choices, and ensure that theyare applicable, relevant, and compliant with applicable regulations,frameworks, and security standards.MicroservicesArchitecture: Design, develop,and implement microservices-based solutions that break down monolithicapplications into manageable, modular components, promote scalability,resiliency, and independent deployment. Ensure that microservices are secure,efficient, and adhere to best practices.Cloud & AWSExpertise: Architectcloud-based solutions utilizing AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB,S3, ECS, EKS). Design and implement cloud-native solutions that prioritizeavailability, security, and cost efficiency.Cloud InfrastructureManagement and Automation: Experience in managing and automating infrastructure deployments usingTerraform and AWS CloudFormation to ensure efficient, scalable, and securecloud resource management across multiple environments.Salesforce &ServiceNow Integration: Leverage Salesforce and ServiceNow platforms for seamless integrationand automation, optimizing customer relationship management (CRM) and ITservice management (ITSM) workflows.Monitoring Tools: Design and implement monitoring solutions forinfrastructure, applications, and business processes using Dynatrace andSplunk, ensuring integration between the monitoring tools and othersystem components (Cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, microservices, etc.)DevOps & CI/CDPipelines: Design, implement,and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab,GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline. Implement DevOps practices to automatecode deployment, testing, and infrastructure provisioning, ensuring they adhereto security and compliance standards.Containerization& Orchestration: Utilize Docker for containerizing applications and Kubernetes or AWSECS/EKS for container orchestration, enabling highly scalable and portableapplications.Database Management: Design and manage both relational and NoSQLdatabases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB). Ensure database scalability,performance optimization, and proper integration with applications whileadhering to the agency’s data governance standards.Vendor Collaboration& Relationship Management: Work closely with third-party vendors to ensure that external solutionsand products integrate seamlessly with overall architecture. Evaluate vendorsolutions, manage expectations, and ensure delivery within scope, timeline, andquality standards.Cross-WorkstreamCollaboration: Collaborateeffectively with cross-functional teams, including product management,development, operations, and security teams, to align solutions with businessobjectives. Ensure seamless communication and integration across variousworkstreams and stakeholders.Solution Evaluation& Improvement: Continuously evaluate the performance and efficiency of existingsystems, proposing improvements and optimizations to enhance scalability,security, and user experience. Ensure solutions remain adaptable and relevantas business requirements evolve.Mentorship &Leadership: Provide technicalleadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring high-quality code andadherence to architectural best practices. Mentor junior architects anddevelopers. Required Skills& Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role with hands-on experience in designing complex systems.Proficiency in Java, C++, NodeJS, NestJS, Angular, and Spring Boot for application development.Strong experience in integrating with Salesforce and ServiceNow platforms.Expertise in AWS cloud technologies (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, etc.).In-depth knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or EKS.Strong understanding of both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) database systems.Proficient in using Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.Experience in system design and architectural decision-making, with a focus on high-availability, scalability, and performance.Strong ability to verify solution compliance with both industry standards and organizational requirements.Proven experience in vendor management, including evaluating third-party solutions, integrating external products, and maintaining productive vendor relationships.Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth collaboration across different departments and workstreams.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.PreferredQualifications: Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.Familiarity with additional frameworks such as Spring Cloud, Microservices, and GraphQL.Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Salesforce Platform Developer).Experience in ensuring regulatory compliance and data security standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) in architectural designs.Experience in any of Integration platforms like MuleSoft/Boomi is a plus.
