Senior Consultant, Executive and Board Advisory
About the position Aon Consulting, Inc. seeks a Senior Consultant, Executive and Board Advisory reporting to headquarters in Chicago, Illinois to provide executive compensation consulting services. Create executive compensation and incentive programs. Serve as intermediary between Account Managers, staff resources, and customers. Model out designs relative to industry benchmarks, proxy advisory firm policies, and national investor guidelines to determine the go-forward equity strategy. Support governance-related projects including dilution and run rate modeling, executive compensation trends and analysis, equity plan features benchmarking, QualityScore audits, and pay ratio analysis. Design compensation plans that include analysis on executive compensation, board of director compensation, incentive plans, and equity guidelines. Perform industry-specific peer benchmarking of executive compensation programs by analyzing regulatory filings including proxy statements, annual reports, 8-Ks, and Form 4s. Analyze components of compensation plans, including salaries, short- and long-term incentives, prerequisites, equity pay mix, and severance pay packages. Review existing compensation practices for proxy advisory and SEC compliance. Provide mentorship and developmental feedback to junior staff. Develop summary reports including findings and recommendations. Interface and co-deliver presentations to customers. Assist in coordinating research. Support new business and development activities. Build valuation tools and spreadsheets using MS Excel and PowerPoint. May telecommute 5 days a week. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. • Five progressive years of executive compensation experience. • At least five years of experience in modeling out designs relative to industry benchmarks, proxy advisory firm policies, and national investor guidelines. • At least five years of experience in supporting governance-related projects including dilution and run rate modeling, executive compensation trends and analysis, equity plan features benchmarking, QualityScore audits, and pay ratio analysis. • At least five years of experience in analyzing regulatory filings including proxy statements, annual reports, 8-Ks, and Form 4s. • At least five years of experience in analyzing components of compensation plans, including salaries, short- and long-term incentives, prerequisites, equity pay mix, and severance pay packages. • At least five years of experience in reviewing existing compensation practices for proxy advisory and SEC compliance. • At least five years of experience in building valuation tools and spreadsheets using MS Excel and PowerPoint.
