Job Overview As a Senior Data Architect, you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing data infrastructure that enables report automation for our Healthcare Quality Improvement program. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, BI engineers, system administrators, and data users to deliver execution insights across Walgreens Health. Key Responsibilities Supervise data delivery : Oversee the delivery of Walgreens Health data and insights drives and projects, ensuring timely and accurate execution. Design and implement data infrastructure : Plan, develop, and deploy layered databases and data pipelines to support reporting and analytics projects. Develop data standards : Create data staging and pre-processing standards for populating seamless and actual data models attached to report-specific working tables. Apply ETL/ELT best practices : Integrate large datasets from various internal and external sources, applying data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices. Perform data profiling and analysis : Conduct data profiling and analysis across internal production frameworks, manually maintained data, and standard healthcare datasets. Automate development activities : Create internal tools for automating development-related activities, such as data processing, QA, and data validation. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: Hands-on experience with SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts : Proven experience writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts. Experience with data warehousing and ETL/ELT services : Experience designing and deploying reasonably isolated data environments using ETL/ELT services like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake. BI technology expertise : Experience providing concept management and presenting tool-agnostic semantic data layer upgrades connected with BI technology platforms like PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker. Strong communication skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical teams, internal stakeholders, clients, and vendor partners. Financial decision-making experience : At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace. Leadership and team management experience : At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect authority, and/or cross-functional team management experience. Travel requirements : Ability to travel up to/at least 5% of the time for business purposes (in-state and out-of-state). Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Knowledge of pharmacy, healthcare, and clinical research concepts : Familiarity with pharmacy, healthcare, and clinical research concepts is a plus.
