Security Clearance: None/Not Required Sr. Financial Analyst FP&A (Remote) The RTX BBN Technologies Finance Team is seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) group. The BBN Finance team is a group of individuals with a robust mix of skills and experiences collaborating across the organization to influence optimal business decisions and achieve predictable results. The BBN FP&A group has a broad range of responsibilities that include, in addition to traditional FP&A responsibilities, Government Compliance, Budgets and Rates, and Financial Systems and Tools management. The FP&A team is located in the Cambridge MA area but primarily work remotely. What You Will Do: • Participate in the company’s Long-Range Plan (LRP) including collecting, consolidating, and preparing presentation materials for senior management. • Responsible for LRP templates and coordinating the process for consolidation. Power BI and other advanced Excel skills are a plus. • Participate in the annual budget consolidating submissions, analyzing, and reviewing results and preparation of materials for rate development, and management. • Oversee the finances and coordinate budgeting activities for several indirect cost centers in coordination with those department managers. • Monitor, review, and approve expenditures including B&P, IRAD and indirect expenses for one assigned operating business unit (BU) in coordination with their finance lead and BU VP. • Prepare / report monthly internal bookings and sales actuals / forecasts. • Act as the BBN system administrator for BBN’s Rplan (planning tool) in coordination with another FP&A team member and with the support of the RTX Rplan team. • Help define financial system requirements in support of our Business Applications team. • Support the monthly forecast cycle, including the management of forecast templates, as well as consolidation and preparation for reviews. • Support the monthly closing process including journal entry review/approval, analysis of results and reporting as required. • Assist with DCMA / DCAA information requests as needed. • Support ad hoc analysis as required. • No travel requirements are anticipated for this role What You Will Learn: • A deep understanding of all aspects of the LRP from start to finish as well as exposure to the leadership team as we shape the final presentations. • A deep understanding of the Budget and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process and it’s consolidation • An understanding of the rate structures and how the budgets and rates are built in support of our forward pricing rates as well as the process for reporting actual rates and variances. • How to identify cost-saving opportunities, manage indirect spending, and contribute to overall profitability while maintaining a competitive rate structure Qualifications You Must Have: • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting and 5+ Years of related finance work experience • Excellent writing, communication, and critical thinking abilities • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to function well in a team based environment • Computer software skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) • U.S. Citizenship and ability to access US only data systems Qualifications We Prefer: • Financial systems - SAP / APEX, Rplan, Power BI • Knowledge of or experience in a defense contracting environment • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) cost principles, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) What We Offer Whether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement, and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
