Senior General Partner, Independent Sponsor, Corporate Transactions

About Venture Equities Venture Equities is an emerging independent sponsor focused on acquiring and investing in lower middle market businesses. We pursue control buyouts and structured equity opportunities, typically in the $5M to $30M EBITDA range, and we build thoughtful capital stacks using a mix of equity and credit. I am the founding partner. I source, underwrite, and drive execution. I am looking to add a senior partner who brings deep transaction experience and credibility, someone who can help elevate the firm in front of management teams, lenders, bankers, and LPs, and help us close deals with a high standard of process and governance. The opportunity This is a senior partner seat for someone who wants to be highly impactful without needing to be the primary originator. You will be a visible GP on deals, a trusted voice in diligence and negotiations, and a practical operating oriented partner post close. What you will do 1. Serve as senior GP on platform and add on acquisitions, helping us win processes and close with confidence 2. Lead or co lead key parts of diligence, including quality of earnings, risk assessment, and investment committee style memos 3. Support capital stack design, including lender conversations, credit agreements, and equity structuring 4. Be a senior presence with LPs and co investors, particularly on credibility, process, and decision making 5. Help shape post close priorities with management and operating partners, including value creation plans and governance cadence 6. Be available for critical moments, including banker calls, management presentations, and final negotiations What you are not expected to do 1. You are not expected to be the primary originator or do full time outbound sourcing 2. You are not expected to build models day to day, the founder will handle core underwriting work 3. You are not expected to relocate if you prefer remote, as long as you can travel for key meetings when needed Ideal background 1. 15 plus years in private equity, private credit, investment banking, or a combination, with meaningful deal leadership 2. Track record across multiple industries, and comfort underwriting businesses outside a single narrow sector 3. Experience closing control buyouts and working through documentation and negotiations 4. Strong judgment, calm under pressure, high integrity, and a reputation you are proud of 5. Comfortable partnering with a younger founder who is driving sourcing and execution, and you provide senior guidance, credibility, and closing power Economics and structure Compensation is primarily deal based and aligned with long term value creation. We can structure this as a partner agreement at the firm level, a deal by deal GP promote, or a hybrid, depending on fit and availability. We will start with a clear trial period tied to a live deal to confirm working rhythm and alignment. Vetting and process We run a professional process. Finalists should expect references, background checks, and a structured alignment conversation around ethics, conflicts, and decision rights. We move quickly once we have the right fit.
