As the Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering at Press Ganey, you will lead a team of platform operations engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure and services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing cloud projects, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring high availability and security of our cloud environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the cloud strategy of the company and ensure optimal performance and scalability of our cloud solutions. WHO YOU ARE Proven experience in a leadership role managing a team of platform operations engineers or similar technical roles. In-depth knowledge of cloud computing technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc…) and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and management. Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance requirements in cloud environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience. WHAT YOU’LL DO Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of platform operation engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation. Develop and execute the company's cloud strategy in alignment with business goals, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies. Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Collaborate closely with infrastructure, database, and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure across multiple environments Oversee the implementation of automated deployment processes and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Continuously monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance reliability and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with security teams to ensure that cloud infrastructure meets industry security standards and compliance requirements. Don’t meet every single requirement? The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $167,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results. For those near a US hub location, we gather in our office locations three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For the remaining days, we work from home.
