Senior Network Security Analyst Location: Remote, Canada Join our dynamic Cloud Infrastructure team as a Senior Network Security Analyst and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our comprehensive network environment. You'll be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining secure on-premises and cloud networks (primarily Azure and Google Cloud), while proactively identifying vulnerabilities and implementing innovative security measures. What you'll be working on • Designing, building, and maintaining secure internal, external, and cloud network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and cloud networking components, with a primary focus on Azure and Google Cloud environments. • Configuring and managing security features embedded within network devices, such as firewall rules, Access Control Lists (ACLs), network segmentation, and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) functionalities on Unified Threat Management (UTM) devices. • Implementing security policies and configurations on network devices as directed by the Security team, ensuring alignment with overall security strategy. • Monitoring network performance, uptime, and availability, utilizing this data to identify and detect initial security anomalies or unusual network traffic patterns (e.g., sudden surge in outbound traffic, unusual port scans). • Designing and implementing network disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity and resilience against breaches or outages. • Actively seeking ways to enhance network infrastructure and its security posture. • Providing contributions to the strategic direction of the security strategy as it relates to networks and infrastructure. • Collaborating with the dedicated security operations team on network-related security incidents and threat intelligence. What we're looking for you to have • Ability to think logically, analyze, and solve problems. • Experience and desire to learn new technologies including infrastructure and configuration as code • Clear written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as a team member. • 5 - 10 years of combined experience working with enterprise IT networks and/or network security technologies and methodologies. • Experience with all levels of the OSI security model and how to apply security principals to it • Experience with UPS and UPS management models • Experience with wide area networking technologies (MPLS)/SD-WAN and secure service edge technologies such as Zscaler. • Experience with next-generation firewall and UTM technologies, such as Azure firewall and cloud flare • Experience with enterprise-grade WIFI implementation and operations. • Experience with network segmentation and NAC network access control such as Aruba Clearpass • Extensive experience with cloud network implementation and operations, specifically Azure and GCP. • Experience with network automation technologies (Ansible or similar tooling). • Experience with network and security monitoring tools. • Experience with network disaster recovery and design.
