We are currently looking for a Senior Python and Data Analytics Developer (Security Automation) in North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge Security Automation solutions for enterprise cybersecurity operations. The Senior Python and Data Analytics Developer will leverage Python, JavaScript, and AI/ML technologies to build intelligent workflows, automated security assessments, and advanced BI dashboards. You will collaborate closely with cybersecurity engineers, compliance analysts, and data scientists to transform security operations through automation and data-driven insights. This position allows for fully remote work while contributing to high-impact projects that improve compliance, visibility, and efficiency across federal information systems. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and integrate Security Automation BI dashboards and workflows to monitor and predict security posture, control effectiveness, and compliance trends. • Enhance and automate existing processes using Python, JavaScript, and APIs to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy. • Develop secure data pipelines and interfaces connecting cybersecurity tools (e.g., Splunk, Chronicle, Elasticsearch) with enterprise data lakes. • Implement automated security control assessments and continuous risk evaluation aligned with federal security standards. • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, workflow models, and integration guides. • Stay current on AI/ML technologies and provide recommendations for integration into security automation initiatives. • Support SOC and cybersecurity operations as needed, and implement emerging technologies using tools such as Microsoft CoPilot and Power Automate. Requirements • 8+ years of professional experience in Python and/or JavaScript development; experience with Ruby or Java is a plus. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing MS Power Automate workflows and O365 system integrations. • Demonstrated experience building data-driven or AI/ML-enhanced applications or BI solutions. • Strong knowledge of data analytics, workflow automation, and machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). • Hands-on experience with API development or integration for security, analytics, or compliance tools. • Proficiency with data visualization frameworks (React, D3.js, Dash, Plotly) or BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker). • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, engineers, and analysts. • U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a federal background investigation.
