Job Title: Senior Remote WordPress Developer - Contract / Freelance Role Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and motivated WordPress Developer to join our remote team. As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining websites for our international clients. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of experience working with WordPress and related technologies, as well as a deep understanding of best practices and coding standards. This is a senior position, and the candidate will be expected to lead and mentor other team members. Location: • Remote • International OK Type: • Contractor/Freelance between 5 - 20 hours / week. Hours: • Variable weekly needs pending client workloads, with efforts to plan ahead and respect your time. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain websites for international clients using WordPress, WooCommerce, and ACF • Work with clients and team members to identify and implement custom features and functionality • Ensure code quality and adhere to WordPress coding standards and best practices • Collaborate with designers and other developers to create seamless user experiences • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise • Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress updates, security patches, and third-party plugin updates • Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers on the team Requirements: • 5 or more years of experience in WordPress development • Strong knowledge of WordPress, WooCommerce, ACF, WordPress Codex, WordPress documentation, and PHP • Ability to develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment • Ability to lead and mentor other team members If you have a passion for WordPress development and a desire to work with international clients, this is an exciting opportunity to advance your career and make a significant impact on our agency's success.
