This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven, remote-first engineering team focused on delivering a high-impact, consumer-grade productivity application. The Senior Ruby on Rails Developer will design, build, and maintain backend systems, helping scale a growing codebase while mentoring peers and improving engineering processes. Requirements • 5+ years of professional software development experience. • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails. • Strong backend fundamentals: building APIs, managing background jobs, debugging performance and reliability issues. • Experience with Redis, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq in production environments. • Ability to work remotely and permanently reside in the U.S. • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. • Nice-to-haves: experience with AWS, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Terraform, and GraphQL. • Mindset requirements: take ownership of work, demonstrate growth and continuous learning, and treat teammates and customers with respect. Benefits • Competitive salary: $175,000–$200,000 per year, based on experience. • Meaningful equity participation. • Flexible, remote-first work environment spanning the U.S. • Opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and team growth. • Inclusive, supportive company culture valuing respect, accountability, and collaboration.
