Senior Tax Consultant, Property Tax (Strategic Valuation Services)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Review annual personal property tax returns and reconciliations • Review personal property fixed asset listings for misclassified assets • Review state and local laws, rules, and regulations • Conduct physical inspections of manufacturing, communication, energy, mining, and oil & gas facilities and meet with production managers at client locations • Meet with client financial and accounting personnel to review policies and procedures • Prepare analysis detailing issues and opportunities for property tax savings • Produce and edit reports of findings along with the tax manager to ensure accuracy • Meet with clients to discuss implementation of report of finding and address liabilities • Assist client tax department personnel with personal property filings and changes in methodology • Assist client in filing appeals, amended annual returns and refund requests • Assist in negotiations for assessment reductions before assessing authorities • Represent and manage clients during formal appeals Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Perform other duties as assigned Education and Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field, coursework in Appraisal desired • 3-5 years’ experience as an Associate Tax Consultant (or similar type of position) • Advanced knowledge of Excel • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Valid driver’s license #LI-JS1 #LI-REMOTE The Company is an equal employment opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its applicants and employees.
