Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Transportation and Logistics Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our distribution operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our California distribution network, ensuring that our products are delivered to customers in a timely and efficient manner. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, and team management. Key Responsibilities Oversee all California cooling and distribution site operations to ensure a highly aligned network Support and drive business cases to maintain, grow, and modernize the California distribution network for future cooling, storage, transportation, and handling needs Direct and manage 3PLs, applying planning strategies to maximize influence control, navigate complex situations, and achieve the best outcome for the business Lead managers to ensure their teams understand expectations for meeting their objectives, and ensure standardization and sharing of best practices within Distribution Centers and across the California Distribution Center Network Working experience with labor unions and collective bargaining Track, analyze, report, and improve key performance metrics Accountable for daily, monthly, and quarterly business reviews with Distribution Center Managers, 3PLs, and growers Quickly identify and address complex supply chain issues; effectively gather and assess data; provide alternative solutions Presentation of weekly facility reports at grower meetings Lead cross-functional training with stakeholders (production, supply chain, transportation, sales, finance) to align organizational objectives Develop the creation and management of the annual operating and capital cost budgets Drive performance and management of labor management and pay-for-performance across seasonal population Create a culture of continuous improvement, customer/service focus, and cost enhancement Work with distribution center managers to ensure effective and timely maintenance Manage departmental activity for compliance with safety regulations, regulations, and company standards Sustain, support, and promote the company Mission, Vision, and Values Follow company policies and practices while representing Driscoll's in an ethical and professional manner in all interactions with employees, government agencies, growers, customers, etc. Ensure the confidentiality of all Driscoll's proprietary information Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, business management, or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience in Warehousing, Distribution, Logistics, and Inventory Systems Familiarity with 3PL management Extensive labor management experience Experience in managing a team of business professionals Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Excellent public speaking skills Ability to drive change and continuous improvement Strong interpersonal skills Ability to communicate at all levels Experience with process management and practical implementation of technology required Logical ability to create and monitor quantifiable objectives Valid California driver's license and eligibility for use of company vehicle Preferred Qualifications and Leadership Skills California driver's license and the ability to be covered under company-sponsored vehicle insurance program A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions Key Mindset: Looks toward the future and plans a way to get there Drives Innovation: Finds, advocates, and implements innovations; large or small Plans and Adapts: Lays out priorities and desired outcomes, and makes plans to achieve them Drives Results: Pursues everything with energy, creativity, and the need to achieve desired results Collaborates: Works with various stakeholders, inside and/or outside Driscoll's, seeking mutually beneficial solutions Drives Engagement: Establishes an inspiring work environment and engages others Develops Talent: Effectively seeks opportunities to develop one's self and others Mental Toughness: Handles difficult issues promptly with positivity and straightforwardness Compensation and Benefits The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the compensation range and benefits for the position posted.
