Role Snapshot: Location: Remote (USA) Compensation: $35/hour Position: Senior Virtual Design Sales Team Lead Company: Wayfair Start Date: Immediate openings available Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Lead, develop, and motivate a team of virtual design sales specialists to meet or exceed sales, customer satisfaction, and revenue targets. Guide your team with your expertise in interior design processes, including reviewing moodboards, directing designers on customizations, communicating with suppliers, and closing deals. Take ownership of and continuously improve the design team structure, processes, and tooling to ensure designers have the resources they need to succeed. Respond professionally and courteously to raised client requests, solicitations, or complaints to reach a successful resolution. Make recommendations or take corrective action to manage performance as needed. Work closely with Talent Management and senior leadership to address and resolve employee issues. Review time-off requests as suitable to match staffing level requirements. Establish new work processes, pilot new software/tools, build adaptable cycles and tests from scratch. Build strong relationships with our suppliers and cross-functional partners. Collaborate with the Design Services business and strategy team to manage team effectiveness and quality, customer satisfaction, sales volume, and connections. Epitomize a positive and professional attitude consistently with clients and colleagues. Participate in a high-energy, engaged, and dynamic work environment where there can be rapid changes in products, technologies, offerings, and tasks. Plan and execute team engagement activities, sales challenges, and continuous training classes. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field. 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in a design-related environment. 3+ years of previous leadership experience. Experience with Salesforce is preferred, as well as knowledge of design tools (AutoCad/Revit/other). Experience with managing and inspiring a virtual, distributed team is preferred. Passion for exceptional customer service and a drive to exceed sales targets. Strong association, self-motivation, communication, and relationship management skills. History of thriving in a fast-paced and changing environment. Proven utilization of technology to drive business results, ability to learn new software programs quickly. Committed private workspace (Wayfair provides basic computer hardware). Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications and technical sharpness to learn new business systems. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with design software and technologies. Knowledge of interior design trends and best practices. Certification in interior design or a related field.
