Snowflake Data Engineer | About You As a Snowflake Data Engineer, you are responsible for transforming raw data into trusted, authoritative sources that drive business decisions. Your ability to collaborate across teams and leverage modern cloud technologies makes you a key player in our data strategy. This curiosity fuels your innovation and keeps you ahead of emerging trends in data engineering and automation. Snowflake Data Engineer | Day-to-Day • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and Azure Service Bus to support enterprise-wide data initiatives. • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to develop authoritative data sources that enable data commercialization and strategic insights. • Manage and track work using Agile tools such as Jira and ServiceNow, contributing to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups. • Support and optimize data integration processes, including transitioning away from legacy tools like SnowMirror to more modern solutions. • Collaborate with reporting teams to enable self-service analytics using platforms like Power BI and Sigma, while maintaining data integrity and accessibility. • Participate in code reviews, documentation efforts, and continuous improvement activities to enhance data engineering standards and practices. • Leverage personal experience with AI-powered coding assistants and automation tools to streamline development workflows and explore innovative solutions. Snowflake Data Engineer | Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related technical field. • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and cloud-based data platforms, preferably within the Azure ecosystem. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience using tools such as Jira and ServiceNow for work management and team collaboration. • Experience with data integration and messaging systems, including Azure Service Bus and similar technologies used in enterprise environments. • Working knowledge of reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI and Sigma, with an understanding of self-service analytics principles and implementation. • Exposure to Python and a willingness to collaborate with developers who use it for data-related tasks, automation, and scripting. • Enthusiasm for AI-assisted coding and experimentation with tools like Claude Code, Codex, GPT-5, Climb, Kizer, and Cursor to enhance productivity and innovation.
