Become a Krakenite and build the future of crypto! Proof of work The team At Kraken, it is essential to understand the brand ethos, mission and the community we serve – social is at the forefront of this. Our social and content media team ensure we grow and engage with our client base and community of fellow degen and we are now looking for a chronically online, crypto-native Social Media Manager to lead the Ink social channels, working on all things social across our onchain projects. We’re looking for someone who moves fast but thinks long-term, thrives under pressure, and knows how to launch new products alongside creating ecosystem content that cuts through the noise and grabs attention. This role requires strong content creation skills with an analytical mindset, being a self-starter. If you’re a true degen with deep knowledge of Web3, L2s, DeFi, and crypto culture, thrive in the dynamic, ever-evolving world of crypto, and are excited to contribute beyond just community management – this role is for you. The opportunity Develop and execute a social media and content strategy for the Ink ecosystem to drive community engagement. Produce top-tier, engaging content optimized for X, Discord, Telegram, and other social channels, ensuring maximum impact and platform-native appeal. Spot trends and reactive moments on CT and other social channels, and craft timely, relevant content. Actively engage with the Ink community by responding and fostering meaningful conversations. Play a key role in launching new DeFi products and amplifying the Kraken ecosystem to reach and engage a wider audience. Develop and maintain an always-on content calendar: create posts, secure approvals, schedule, and monitor performance. Ensure seamless integration of ecosystem updates, including new dApps, governance proposals, and DeFi incentives. Skills you should HODL 5+ years of experience in social and content strategy, with an emphasis on brand, experiential, and highly collaborative, fast-paced marketing activations and partnerships. At least 1 year of professional experience in the crypto space. Familiar with crypto, DeFi, and blockchain communities — you understand the lingo, culture, and memes. Experience managing high-paced social channels, driving engagement and maintaining a consistent brand voice. Experience crafting sharp, engaging copy tailored to different audiences and platforms. Creative and detail-oriented, with the ability to produce visually appealing content — whether briefing a design team, working in Figma, or being scrappy with CapCut. In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (X, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and social media management tools (Sprinklr, Sprout Social, etc.). Fully aligned with the cypherpunk, libertarian values outlined in Kraken’s Tentaclements. Based in the US, UK, or Europe, and fluent/native-like in English. #LI-DM1 This job is accepting ongoing applications and there is no application deadline. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. Kraken is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate all Krakenites for their diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions and unique perspectives. We hire strictly based on merit, meaning we seek out the candidates with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills considered the most suitable for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don’t fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you’re passionate or knowledgable about crypto!
