Role Overview: The Quality Assurance (QA) Tester will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of reliable and high-quality software products. As a member of the development and product teams, the QA Tester will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting issues, and collaborating with developers, project managers, and business analysts to resolve defects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, passionate about quality, and experienced in both manual and automated testing within an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities: • Test Planning and Design: Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and user stories. • Test Execution: Perform manual and automated functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance tests to verify software quality. • Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, collaborating closely with developers and project teams to ensure timely resolution. • Release Support: Participate in sprint activities by testing new features and bug fixes, validating releases, and ensuring acceptance criteria are met. • Test Automation: Help maintain and extend existing automated test suites and contribute to the design of new automation frameworks (as applicable). • Collaboration: Work alongside developers, product managers, technical product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and proactively identify risks. • Documentation: Prepare clear and concise documentation of testing processes, results, and procedures. • Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to QA processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. • Compliance Testing: Assist with test activities related to SOC 2 compliance and other regulatory requirements. Requirements: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing, QA analysis, or a related field. • Technical Skills: • Proficiency in writing and executing test cases and scripts. • Experience with Jira for bug tracking and test management. • Familiarity with manual testing methodologies; some exposure to automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus. • Understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies. • Soft Skills: • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work collaboratively within a cross-functional team. • Compliance Knowledge: Experience supporting testing for SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks is preferred but not required. • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new testing tools and adapt to changing project requirements.
