Sr BI Developer/Data Architect 6-Month Contract to Hire Atlanta, GA - Remote Responsible for developing and maintaining subject area focused analytics solutions for business performance measurement, along with the underlying data models and schemas needed. This person will be responsible for designing enterprise standard reports, dashboards and data models. Analyzes management reporting needs and develops and implements dashboards and reports to improve decision making. Supports reporting on operational efficiency and enhances the reporting capabilities to meet the needs of the organization and its entities. Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient, employee, and company data. This person stays aligned to a single BI manager to build deep subject matter expertise and form strong relationships with stakeholders. Responsibilities • Assists the BI Manager with maintenance of the project backlog within the agile framework across assigned subject areas (e.g. revenue cycle, hospital operations, quality, etc.). • Responsible for integration of new Piedmont members into our data products. • Participates in strategy sessions with data product owners to work out the requirements and define the work effort. • Coordinates efforts to build out product specific solutions. • Develops solutions in multiple data visualization and database platforms. • Constructs and delivers subject matter specific training on data products. • Serves as a mentor to BI Developers aligned to their manager. • Performs post implementation code review and executes on data product optimization / standardization work. • Fulfills off sprint cycle urgent needs including break-fix investigation and resolution. • Regularly works to eliminate technical debt in the BI technology stack. • Streamlines and improves existing reports with adherence to defined policies and data definitions across financial systems. • Responds to ad hoc requests for information from various systems and configuration of reports in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. • Maintains key relationships with business owners and IT to proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities for enhanced productivity and operational efficiencies. • Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements • Three (3) years of progressive work experience in Data Visualization and or Data Modeling, preferably in a multi-entity healthcare provider environment • Possesses advanced computer skills with a very strong knowledge of spreadsheet programs, databases, programming languages, ETL, and decision support systems, particularly Tableau and SQL Server. • Preferred knowledge of Epic, specifically Clarity. • Basic knowledge of statistical algorithms. • The technical ability to solve complex problems through employing data analysis. • Experience teaching others in a classroom setting is a plus. • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
