Job Summary As a Sr. Electrical Engineer at EVRAZ North America, you will play a critical role in evaluating, selecting, applying, and adapting electrical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to drive project success. With a focus on heavy industry, medium, and high voltage backgrounds, you will manage large projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and compliance with specifications and codes. Key Responsibilities Project Development and Management: Develop and manage capital expenditure projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet specifications. Cost and Schedule Estimates: Develop accurate cost and schedule estimates for projects, considering factors like resources, materials, and timelines. Technical Support and Coordination: Provide technical support for procurement specifications, quality control, non-conformance, design, and test applications. Coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance support, documentation, and testing activities. Project Documentation and Contracts: Prepare all project documentation, issue contracts, and follow the fabrication of equipment and installation into facilities. Remote I/O Systems and Industrial Communication: Utilize remote I/O systems, Industrial Communication Systems, and Protocols to support plant operations. Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting services to Maintenance and Operations departments. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree: Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in heavy industry, with a focus on medium and high voltage backgrounds. Skills: Deep understanding of calculating Connected Electrical Load vs Expected Electrical Demand for transformer sizing. Proficiency in remote I/O systems, Industrial Communication Systems, and Protocols. Experience reviewing OEM utility drawings for optimal balance between cost, operability, and maintainability. Ability to evaluate design effectiveness and implement changes as necessary. Preferred Qualifications Project Management: Experience managing large projects (<$3M). Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and codes.
