Position :: Sr. Functional Consultant - Finance & General Ledger Location :: 100% Remote Duration :: 6+ months Interview :: Video Job Description: Role Summary: We need a finance system expert who can work directly with our accounting team to structure how we capture and report financial data. This person will guide our finance team on changing our Chart of Account and financial dimension structure, ensure our reporting meets business needs, and validate that data scripts work correctly from an accounting perspective. Technical Requirements: Essential Experience: • Minimum 5+ years functional consulting experience implementing Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Finance module) • Deep expertise in General Ledger architecture and configuration • Extensive hands-on experience with: • Chart of Accounts design and restructuring • Financial dimensions architecture (design, configuration, and reporting impacts) • Financial reporting structures (row definitions, column definitions, reporting trees) • Main account categories, posting profiles, and allocation rules • Period-end close processes and financial consolidations • Multi-legal entity financial structures • Intercompany functionality Required Competencies: • Business partner mindset: Can work directly with business unit controllers and accounting leadership to translate business requirements into system design • Strong analytical skills: Ability to understand existing financial processes and identify improvement opportunities • Technical validation capabilities: Can thoroughly test technical solutions (scripts, custom reports, data migrations) from a functional/accounting accuracy perspective • Documentation and training: Can create clear functional design documents and train accounting staff on new processes Specific Project Requirements: • Experience guiding Chart of Accounts redesign projects, including: • Facilitating workshops to gather dimension value requirements • Mapping existing GL structures to new structures • Designing dimension hierarchies for reporting purposes • Ability to test and validate: • New account structures • Scripts that update existing transactions • Financial Reporting reports • Power BI reports What This Role Is NOT: • This is not a technical developer role (though functional-technical hybrid skills are valued) • Not a support consultant • This is not a project manager or business analyst role • This is not suitable for consultants without strong hands-on F&O Finance configuration experience General Requirements for Both Positions: Engagement Model: • Senior-level resources only (no junior consultants requiring supervision). • Expected to work autonomously with minimal oversight • Should proactively identify risks and propose solutions Apply tot his job
